Shoot Guidelines

TAAs guidelines are here to help clubs preserve the Traditional way. TAAs ethos is not based in a competitive sports philosophy, preservation of all aspects of Traditional Archery is the focus of TAA.

Shoot and equipment guidelines are now only strictly followed during the National competition as a part of the National Muster. This requirement has been relaxed at State Musters after representations and consultation with smaller and new TAA clubs so that they may host without the requirement for large numbers of  3D targets. The requirement for participants to have as much enjoyment as humanly possible within normal safety standards is still compulsory. .
